The ANCAR IVANHOE is an association between ANCAR, a Brazilian company pioneered the market for shopping centers, established in 1972, and Ivanhoe Cambridge, a world leader in the business of shopping malls and real estate, owning more than 80 enterprises in North America, Europe and Asia. The company was established in 2006, marking the beginning of the Canadian company in Brazil.

Currently, some of the most important shopping centers in Brazil are part of the portfolio ANCAR IVANHOE, which holds a participation and / or manages a total of 19 shopping centers, spread across five regions of the country. These are enterprises with personality, ready to grow with quality, and leaders in your area. It is no coincidence that the company is among the five largest companies in Brazil.

This position is the result of the pioneering spirit of Brazilian Ancar - that is Carvalho family, which, in the 70's, entered the market as one of those responsible for developing the second mall built in Brazil: the Conjunto Nacional Brasilia, and helped found the ABRASCE (Brazilian Association of Shopping Centers) with Sergio Carvalho as president. Since then, the experience in developing markets has become his trademark, pioneering cities like Recife, Porto Alegre and Porto Velho. The company's board is composed of members of the third generation of the family, along with renowned professionals from retail.

The ANCAR IVANHOE SHOPPING CENTERS owns the following projects: Shopping Nova América, Botafogo Praia Shopping, Downtown (RJ), Shopping Interlagos, Center Vale Shopping (SP); Conjunto Nacional Brasília, Iguatemi Porto Alegre/RS, Natal Shopping/RN, Pantanal Shopping/MT, Porto Velho Shopping (RO) and Shopping Parque das Bandeiras, Campinas/SP (under construction).
